The initial concepts
IA Solutions were engaged to carry out ongoing remedial works on the heritage-listed Hannah’s Factory Apartments in collaboration with Studio Pacific Architecture. The project focused on refurbishing a corroded steel-framed window and sill to restore the building’s condition while respecting its heritage character.
Execution and delivery
Our team utilised rope access methods to safely access both interior and exterior areas of the structure. Works included demolition of the damaged concrete sill, removal of corroded steel, and precise welding and fabrication of replacement sections. The sill was then rebuilt and reglazed, reinstating full watertight integrity. Care was taken to leave the apartment interiors spotless following the concrete and weld repairs, ensuring residents were unaffected. The outcome was a structurally sound, aesthetically restored feature that preserves the building’s heritage while delivering modern performance.
